Researcher in Education for Sustainability
Universidad de Chile
I am currently a researcher in Early Childhood Education for Sustainability and a PhD candidate in Education at the University of Chile. With a multidisciplinary academic background in Psychopedagogy, Primary Education, and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology, my research focuses on participatory pedagogies, educational innovation, and the co-design of learning experiences that strengthen children's agency and foster more sustainable relationships among children, educational communities, and their local environments.
I am particularly interested in the co-production of situated knowledge through play-based and collaborative approaches, exploring how educational communities address socio-environmental challenges. My work brings together sustainability, teacher education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the design of innovative pedagogical resources that support transformative learning in early childhood education. I am also committed to continuous professional development, with recent training in educational board game design, advanced qualitative research methods, and climate change education.
I am a lecturer in the Special Education Teacher Education Programme at the University of Chile and a member of the Research Hub on Early Childhood and Public Policy. I collaborate in national and international research initiatives related to early childhood education, sustainability, participatory research, educational innovation, and science communication, contributing to projects that connect research, practice, and public engagement from the Global South.
